Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority (KVRTA) is committed to a policy of non-discrimination in the conduct of its business, including its Title VI and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) responsibilities and to the delivery of equitable and accessible transportation services.  Any person who believes that he or she has been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin may file a Title VI complaint with KVRTA within 180 days from the date of the alleged discrimination.

FTA’s practice is to encourage riders and others to resolve issues with local agencies when possible before filing a complaint with FTA. 

Notifying the Public – Rights Under Title VI

  • The Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority (KVRTA) operates its programs without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or she has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with KVRTA

  • A complainant may file a complaint directly with the Federal Transit Administration by filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights, Attention: Title VI Program Coordinator, East Building, 5th Floor-TCR, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20590
