The Kanawha Valley Regional Transit Authority (KRT) will accept sealed bids for the purchase of surplus property pursuant to W. Va. Code § 5A-3-45.

Inspection of Property: Items may be inspected in person at KRT Maintenance Facility located at 1550 4^th Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387 on October 24, 2025 from 8:00AM to 10:30AM.

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID – KRT SURPLUS PROPERTY” and delivered to:

Bids must be received no later than October 24, 2025 at 11:00AM. Late bids will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened on October 24, 2025, at 12:00PM at KRT’s Maintenance Facility at 1550 4^th Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387.

Terms: All property is sold “AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO WARRANTY.” Payment must be made by certified check, money order, or approved electronic transfer at the time of award. Buyers are responsible for removal of purchased property within ten business days after award.

KRT reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bid Instructions

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled “SEALED BID – KRT SURPLUS PROPERTY.”
2. Include bidder’s name, address, phone number, and email.
3. State clearly the item(s) being bid on, and the bid amount per item.
4. Multiple items may be bid on in one envelope but must list each item separately.
5. Bids must be signed and dated by the bidder.
6. Payment is due no later than October 31, 2025, by 4:00PM by KRT’s clock.
7. Buyers must remove property awarded no later than November 14, 2025, by 4:00PM by KRT’s clock, at buyer’s expense.
