New KRTplus Service Zones – In Effect October 13, 2025

Route Transitions: The following fixed routes will be served by KRTplus instead of traditional bus service:
- Route 13 Beech Avenue
- Route 15 South Hills
Free Transfers with Account Based Ticketing: With KRT’s new Account Based Ticketing system, riders who transfer from KRTplus to a fixed-route bus within one hour will ride the bus for free. To receive the free transfer, you must board the fixed-route bus within one hour of boarding KRTplus, and payment must be made through the Transit app or with the new KRT Blue Card.
Why the Change: By replacing low-ridership fixed routes with flexible on-demand ride service, KRT can reduce operating costs, use resources more efficiently, and invest in high-demand routes and services.
