Approved Service/Fare Changes

On Thursday, September 26th, KRT’s Board of Members approved service and fare changes that will go into effect in February of 2025.  Those changes include:

  • Eliminating service on Sundays
  • Saturday service only for Routes 1SA, 2CC, 3, 17, 19, 21, and 22
  • Decreased frequency of Routes 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, 23 to half of their current weekday trip amounts (For example if a route had 8 trips in a day, it would now operate 4 trips)
  • 30-minute weekday frequency on Routes 1, 2, 3 and 22
  • Last outbound trip departs at 11p.m.
  • Raising the price of a day pass from $2.50 to $3.50
  • Lowering the price of a 31-day pass from $60 to $50
  • Capping the amount people can spend on passes in a 31-day period to $50
  • Various route changes

Specific schedule information and a map of the approved changes to routes will be made available and distributed via KRT’s website, social media, Transit App, and on KRT’s vehicles.
